American Cash Flow Internet Chapter

Email Discussion List.

You only become an "official" member of the ACF iChapter by subscribing to the Email Discussion List.

What is it?

An email discussion list is a method where a small, or large, number of people with a common interest can share ideas, problems, solutions or any other thing they would like to discuss through email.

I truly believe you will find the benefits of these discussions with your fellow broker/consultants all around the country will be extremely valuable.

How does it work?

If you are familiar with the internet news groups you will see that an email discussion list works in much the same way, only better in many respects. For those of you not familiar with the internet news groups let me give you a brief description of how it works. For those of you who are familiar with the newsgroups I'll also tell you why an email discussion list can be much better.

The first step is for you to join, or subscribe, to the email discussion list. You do this by giving us your name and email address. The only use we will ever make of this information is to administer the discussion list.

To keep someone else from subscribing you without your permission you will receive a confirming email. You will have to reply to that email before you will be subscribed to the discussion list. If you do not reply to that confirming email you will not receive any messages from the discussion list.

You will then be sent an email with instructions on how to post messages to the discussion list.

Now that you're subscribed, here is how it works.

Every time you, or any other member of the discussion list, send an email to the discussion list address every other member of the discussion list will receive a copy of that email. When someone replies to that email, then everyone on the discussion list will also get a copy of that reply.

It's just like a group meeting where everyone can hear everyone else's questions and all the answers to those questions.

This is much better than the internet news groups because before anyone can join the discussion list they must give us a valid email address. If necessary we can ban them from the list if they choose to make inappropriate posts to the list. This is almost never a problem with an email discussion list.
